Matt Suttle: Head Coach

Coach Suttle lives in Westerville with his wife Markita and their three dogs, Chloe and Reese and Harley. Markita is a PICU Fellow at Children's Hospital.

Coach Suttle is beginning his 9th year as a math teacher in the district and currently teaches 8th grade Algebra at Davis Middle School.

During his 8 year tenure as head coach of the Lady Irish they have won 6 conference titles, qualified for regional's 7 times, finishing sixth four of those years, and have district runner up finishes in 2008 and 2010. In 2009, the Irish enjoyed their best year, winning the conference title, winning the district title, finishing 2nd in the regionals and qualifying as a team for the state meet where they finished 9th.

Matt graduated from Waynedale High School in 1998 and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Otterbein College in 2002. While at Otterbein Matt competed in cross country and track, serving as the cross country team captain during his last two seasons. He also received his Master of Education from Otterbein in 2006.

Dave Mars: Assistant Coach

Coach Mars lives in Westerville with his wife Sarah and their two sons Eldon and Caelan. The Mars family is also expecting a girl towards the end of the XC season.

Coach Mars is in his 4th year teaching 5th-6th grade ESL at Galloway Ridge Intermediate School in the South-Western City school District.

Aside from coaching and teaching, Dave also runs for the Columbus Running Company Red team. He specializes in the 5k and marathon, having run 14:58, and 2:29:58 respectively in the last year. Currently, Mars is training for the Akron Marathon.

Dave graduated from Field High School in 1997, and was the captain of the 1994 undefeated state championship team. He earned his BA in English from OSU and later went on to receive an MA in TESOL from Ohio Dominican University.

Keith Wedinger: Webmaster

Keith is the webmaster for SciotoGirlsCC.com and for SciotoFootball.com. Keith is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati (www.bearcatnews.com) and is employed at IBM. Keith is married to Karen Wedinger and they reside in Powell with their two daughters Brenda and Kimberly. Brenda is a junior on the cheerleading team and Kimberly is a junior on the cross country team.
